Finally...something crafty!!

I made this bag today for part of my Spring swap for the Seasonal Swap group I belong to on Flickr. It was SO easy to put together as it has exposed seams. I love how it turned out. The green plaid is the interior pocket. The exterior print is from a thrift store find - I think it was at least a 3 yard piece for just a few dollars...I've already made several things from it before so you may recognize the print:)

Last weekend I made these little felt pincushions...the first official pincushions I have made, although I have ideas for several others in mind. This litte pattern was from the most recent issue of American Patchwork and Quilting - which features a quote from Miss Monica on the front page!! These were also really easy to put together and gave me a chance to practice my blanket stitch, which I haven't done in ages. I have four more in progress.

I finished my notecards for Regina's Notecard Swap 2007. The "hello" is stamped on linen tape. The colors remind me of neopolitan ice cream:)

I was lucky enough to snag this little quilting pamphlet from Em's Lent Giveaway...but just look at what else came with it!

Em included all these other wonderful goodies!! Some wonderful quilting and sewing magazines, quilt patterns and the latest Make...hubby is excited to read that one when I am done with it:) Thank you so much Miss Em!

Em surprised me again with this little goodie...a beautiful ATC that says "the road to a friend's house is never long"...and features a map with a line from Colorado Springs (where Em is) to Albuquerque (where I am)...what a beautiful atc!!

I finished my apron for the What's Cookin apron swap. This round is a "Mini" apron swap just right for our little minis:) Miss S is modeling the apron I made. I made a nice big pocket for all those little treasures little girls love and extra long ties so it has a nice big bow in the back.

I also joined this group on flickr - I can't wait to use up some of my scraps. I'm thinking about making little pillows with the finished blocks for Christmas presents.

And finally, if you've made it this far, I have a freebie as once again, I ended up with two copies of the same magazine:) I have an extra of the February/March issue of ME Home Companion - the special 10th anniversary issue. Leave me a comment if you would like it and if more than one person is interested I'll have a little drawing on Tuesday morning.

I recognized that fabric for the tote bag instantly. The tissue holder you made for me for Moki's initial swap (which I use all the time) is made out of it! The tote looks good and I'm sure the recipient will love it. Those pin cushions are really cute.

I've never read the ME magazine but it looks like it had a lot of fun ideas.

I'm so daft. I just looked at the cover of my April/May issue, and right there on the top... "Celebrating 10 Artful Years"!

I'm in search of some pin cushion ideas for a pin cushion swap I joined...i've never made one before! I have an idea though....and it incorporates a little sundae glass cup I thrifted. So...we'll see if I can pull it off!

Thanks for stopping by my weblog and leaving me a message. I really like your cards and look forward to this NoteCard swap as it will be my first swap. I am glad that you left me a message and I was able to find your weblog because it is filled with creativity and eye candy. I am relatively new to crafting, blogging, etc...but decided that when I grew up I wanted to be like many of you talented, crafty, resourceful women in this awesome blogosphere. I am learning so much thanks to the generousity of women like you. Have a great weekend!
