I'm trying my hand at some art Journaling swaps. I joined a group that swaps Beatle song themed pages. Holy crap could there be a more perfect swap group for me?? This is my first page. While more scrappy than arty I really like it.

My Week

Holy crap this has been one CRAZY week!!! We had a super exciting weekend last weekend which I will be highlighting in a post soon but this week has gone a little like this:

Monday: Home sick with a messed up back

Tuesday: Work and TOM PETTY!!! Didn't get to bed until 1 am!

 Wednesday: Work, fancy lunch for Administrative Professionals Day, Middle school orientation

Thursday: Work, Cub Scout Blue and Gold Banquet

Today: Work, collapse on couch and watch TV all night (at least that's the plan)


 

Thrifty Tuesday

My latest "must have" item. Ripply crocheted goodness and only $5.99. It's all washed and ready for snuggling on the couch. It's good size and crocheted with super soft yarn. I love it!!

The DZ girls all dolled up for church. We had a beautiful, peaceful, relaxing Easter. It was perfect.

Lamentations on Footwear

I have finally resigned myself to the fact that I can no longer wear cute flats. Gosh I love them in all their multi color glory with cute little embellishments but I end up hobbling like a 95 year old woman the day after I wear them. I am slowly converting my shoes to Born, Clarks, Dansko and all those other nice thick heeled supportive shoes. Makes me pretty sad but my feet sure are thanking me. And luckily those brands have quite a few cute options. They are pretty pricey but definitely worth the investment if I can have happy feet. I found these shoes last night at the thrift store - brand new Clark's artisan. $12.99 and I had a 30% off coupon. So I brought them home and immediately put two pairs of flats in the goodwill bag.

Card Queen

I love making cards. I used to churn out tons and tons of them per month but lately I haven't been doing any. And it makes me sad to see all my card making supplies sitting unused. So I joined a couple card swaps and am getting back into it. I made these cards for a masculine birthday card swap. I love how they turned out. Simple and clean. It's fun to see how my style has changed over the years.
