Dog Days

We had a wonderful Easter - slept in late, ate a big breakfast. lounged around all day, took the dogs to the dog park and ate a yummy dinner and dessert.

This was the first trip to the dog park for our crazy dogs and they had an awesome time. They had so much fun playing with all the other dogs. There was a boxer pair that really made me miss our boxer, Bree. There was a German shepherd that kept playing in the communal water bowl. And a beautiful Siberian husky with one ice blue eye and one brown eye. And a super super super fat dachshund named Charlie wearing a t-shirt. Our puppies crashed as soon as we got home and slept all afternoon long.

Star Wars

My sister in law, Karissa, is the queen of themed birthday parties. She really outdid herself on my nephew's birthday party today - I think you can guess the theme:)



One of the coolest cakes EVER! And totally delicious too.

Everyone was invited to come as their favorite Star Wars character - Miss S made a beautiful Princess Leia. Kariss's dad was a Jedi and led the children in their Jedi training activities for the day. So much fun!!! That's the birthday boy in the Boba Fett helmet:)



The party was so much fun and I'm so excited that we have family close now to celebrate birthdays with.

Field Trip

Last weekend Hubby needed to go down to UNM to do some research at the library. Miss S and I decided to tag along and feed the ducks at the duck pond while Hubby was studying. The duck pond is right in the middle of campus and is usually filled up with ducks and geese. Today there were more turtles out than ducks. In the last picture you can see some of the turtles sunbathing on the rocks. They were so darling!

Family Time

Hubby's youngest brother was in town for business last week....we of course took him to Turtle Mountain:) He loved it:) He is moving to Colorado for work and will be in Albuquerque at least once a month for business. It's going to be awesome to see him so often!! And we can't wait to visit him in Colorado and spend time with his darling wife and two angel baby boys.
