The Last Rodeo

Saturday night I went to see Brooks & Dunn on their Last Rodeo concert tour!!! Holy moley what a great show!!!! Never mind the two and a half hours it took us to get to the venue which was only 20 miles away, or having to park in a field full of goats heads and tumble weeds, or that my clutch almost gave out and started stinkin during the traffic jam, or the nap we took in the car after the concert while we waited an hour and a half for traffic to die down so we could make a quick jaunt home, or that I'm still exhausted after getting home at 1 am.....it was ALL totally worth it to enjoy this eye candy and their music for two hours.

What a great concert - I had lawn seats so my view looked like this....but the music was fan-flippin-tastic.

Next up for my concert lovin self this summer is Tim McGraw with Lady Antebellum and Love and Theft on June 2. Giddy up.

Busy Busy Busy

Cripes these last two weeks have just about killed me. Seriously, field trips, karate, Brownies, Cub Scouts and work have pretty much taken up all my time. I'm so glad everything is winding down for the summer. I'm trying to keep our schedule a lot freer over the summer so we have time to relax and just hang out and play.

Miss S and her 3rd grade teacher at the annual bowling field trip. Her teacher is darling!!!!!!

Miss S and her karate teacher - Master Jim - he's from Nigeria and like a bazillion degree black belt.
This week is much more mellower...only thing is Pack Meeting on Tuesday night:) YAHOO!!!!!!

Crafting

I've been catching up on a bunch of shows on the computer and crafting my little heart out. My desire and creativity for crafting is finally returning - bit by bit. Well it hasn't really ever left but I let myself get too busy and didn't make the time to craft. My well being suffers when I don't make the time to craft as it really relaxes me and helps me feel sane.

I bought this little spiral notebook at the thrift store for .59 and fancied up the cover. It will make a darling little journal.

Teacher Gifts

I meant to share this last week for Teacher Appreciation Week...but such is life....things have been too busy again and I struggle with what to do and what to give up...too much to think about and my poor little brain is about to explode.

But anyway - I saw this idea on eighteen25 and absolutely loved it. And Miss S's teacher loved it too:) It was quick and easy and such a darling little project. My friend cut out the letters for me on her Cricut but you could just as easily use letter stickers. Fill it with all sorts of little office supplies and candy and you are good to go. If you haven't done anything for an end of the year teacher gift this would be a huge hit!
