Relaxing

and watching hockey on the Olympics. This week has been a doozy. Karate Monday night. Cub Scout Blue and Gold banquet Tuesday night. Girl Scout meeting Thursday night. Miss S was sick on Thursday and missed a field trip she's been looking forward to for several months. I was so sad for her! I stayed home with her on Thursday then took her to work with me on Friday. I had to go in today for a few hours to catch up on work that I missed on Thursday so that pretty much means my weekend is only one day this week:( Sick kiddo days always make me wish I could be a stay at home mom. As for now I've got a huge pile of laundry to catch up on and taxes to prepare!! YOOHOO!! I took advantage of being home Thursday and made a couple calls to get the last little bits of information I needed for our taxes. That's my number one project for tomorrow.

No fun pictures in this post....but I do have something new to show off....my little signature that I made!!! Want one too? Go here and follow her amazingly simple directions. Then you too can have a snazzy little signature at the end of every post:)

Chirp Chirp

Look at this darling bird nest we discovered in the tree in our front yard. I keep meaning to take a picture of it before the new leaves start growing...I noticed today that there are lot of little buds already so I hurried and ran out with my camera. I'm hoping that a new little family of birds takes up residence here when Spring comes.

Everything's Coming Up

POSIES!!! Just some paper crafting I've been doing the last few days while catching up on CSI and NCIS....I bought an awesome paper pad at Michael's that is all punch out flower layers. Aren't these darling!!! I want to make some tags too with them but I currently can't find ANY of the hundreds of premade tags that I have.

Wet Dog

Mr. Fu endured his weekly bath yesterday afternoon. I love how he looks when he is all wet....this dog is nothing but fur! We took him to the vet on Saturday for shots and he weighs a grand total of 2.8 pounds:) Mr. Fu is 6 ft. 5 in., with the afro 6 ft. 9 in...just couldn't resist working in that Fletch quote.

Meet My Hubby

Otherwise known as "Hillbilly"....yep he came home from hockey Friday night with two broken teeth. It's always something! We watched the Russia vs Czech Olympic hockey game and he couldn't help but point out to me that all those guys have missing teeth too. But they are probably not going to be embarrassed to go to work tomorrow:) He'll be sporting this look until we can get him into the dentist for repairs hopefully early this week:)

I Love John

I splurged and bought myself a few little goodies off of Etsy last month. One of my purchases was this awesome John Lennon necklace. I almost don't want to take it off - I love it so much!

And yep - more puppy pictures:)

It's been a week since we had to put Bree and Yuki to sleep - Hubby and I were talking about it last night and I could have sworn I saw Yuki laying on her bed in the kitchen when I went in there this morning....I know it was just her sweet spirit stopping in for a quick hi. I miss her barking every morning as soon as she hears me get out of bed to come feed her breakfast:) I miss Bree constantly being underfoot (if a boxer can be underfoot:)) whenever I was in the kitchen just waiting for me to drop some food. I miss playing catch with Bree. I miss scratching Yuki's warm belly. I miss them both so much.

Mr. Fu's First Road Trip

We got up at the butt crack of dawn, bundled up, and drove to Los Alamos Saturday morning for Mr. Fu's first road trip. Hubby is the assistant coach for a high school hockey team and their game this week was in Los Alamos where there literally was a ton of snow. And get this....their rink is OUTSIDE!!! Yep - we braved the cold and watched the game in 32 degree weather. Mr. Fu did great in the car:)

Los Alamos - 2/6/2010

That's Hubby in the very middle (the tallest one)...

Trying to warm up in the reception area...

Eating a little snack while in Los Alamos...

We were back in Albuquerque by about 2 pm but this trip completely wiped me out for the whole weekend. I woke up with a migraine this morning and almost didn't make it to church. Thank goodness for Excedrin Migraine and a sweet little puppy to cuddle with that helped me feel better:)

More Heart Ache

My poor heart hasn't even recovered yet from having to put Gammy to sleep over the summer. And today we had to put our precious Bree and Yuki both to sleep...the vet agreed that it was time...

Yuki and Miss S...

An always patient and loving Bree...

The loss of our sweet puppies is almost too much to bear. Mr. Fu has some big shoes to fill and even bigger holes in all of our hearts to fill.

Miss S said it perfectly though...she said "I am happy for Yuki and Bree cause now they are in heaven with Gammy." She's so right...our three angels are happy and playing and healthy and of sound mind and body now for all eternity.

Rest in peace my sweet angel babies. We will miss you always.
